Why do people steal my photos?


This has happened to me on multiple occasions where I have found my photos to be cropped just enough to eliminate my watermarks and photo credits. I clearly state on my website to “Contact me for more details on how to obtain photo rights or book a food photo shoot today.” The rights of this photo was not properly obtain and this is a prime example of a copyright infringement. Plenty of my friends have had their photos stolen and that is just NOT COOL!

Here is what I found on the Restaurant’s Facebook Page as their Profile Picture:

It is not that difficult to ask permission before using the photos and if you did not want to ask then leave the photo ALONE and give proper photo credits. So the moral of the story, if you see a watermarks on a photo, the rights belong to someone and ask before using it.
