NaraDeva Thai Restaurant in Orlando by Mall at Millenia is the best Thai place in Orlando!
Located by the Mall at Millenia (next to the Super Target), NaraDeva Thai is one of Orlando’s top hidden gems in my book. Co-owner Tammy, originialy from Thailand, is truly a renaissance woman! She is the chef, the designer, the entrepreneur and the face of NaraDeva. This talented and crafty woman has whipped up a spread that no one could resist!
Our friend Traveler Foodie invited us out with other fellow bloggers my friends Tasty CHOMPS, Forkful, Droolius, WatchMeEat, & OrlndoFoodie to sample what NaraDeva has to offer! We sat with the gracious owners of NaraDeva Thai restaurant, Tammy and Ali and they featured all their favorite dishes for us to try.
The menu is a bit overwhelming but it is filled with authentic Thai dishes…it was a good thing I was being taken care of by the NaraDeva family.
Here are my top picks:
Thai Red BBQ Fried Rice $ 12.95, a Fried Rice with B.B.Q. pork, eggs and chopped scallions.
You may think that fried rice is not very exciting but this was full of flavor. It was made with fresh char sui style pork which embodied the rice with a rich and flavorful taste. It is the best fried rice I have ever outside of my house. NaraDeva definitely offers a homestyle comfort food for us local Asians.
Deep-Fried Whole Snapper with choice of sweet chili, sweet and sour sauce $ 28.95 – $ 34.95
I love fish! Especially whole fried fish! It is a little harder to eat because you have to be wary of the fish bones but the flavor is so much better! This fish was not greasy and the snapper was tender, moist and well seasoned with the sweet and sour sauce. The only thing missing for me was a plate of fresh mints, cucumbers, lettuce and bean sprouts to make lettuce wraps!

Soft shell crab served with a yellow curry sauce $ 19.95
At this point, you must be thinking I have expensive taste but I just really like seafood! NaraDeva prepares seafood the way my mom makes it. It is really authentic and similar to Vietnamese food too. I love it!
NaraDeva’s soft shell crab was crunchy and full of meat inside. This was fried but also not greasy.

( If you would like to see EVERYTHING we had to try, check out my fellow blogger’s summary: Tasty CHOMPS, Forkful, WatchMeEat, & OrlndoFoodie )
Out of all the items I tried, these 3 items were the most unique and well flavored plates. It provided a nice nostalgia of my comfort food. Plus, she made those better than my mom. –Shh! Don’t tell my mom that!! ;o)
NaraDeva Thai Restaurant provides a lovely ambience with the authentic Asian hospitality. The next time you are out by the Millenia Mall, go check them out for lunch or dinner, I promise you that you will enjoy your stay with them.
