So my friend was throwing a party for her husband’s 30th birthday. I wanted to do something special for my friends to enjoy and so I thought…. I will make a lot of food but this time I will throw in desserts by Mega Yummo! I typically do not make desserts but lately I have had a strong curiosity towards miniature desserts and thought why not give it a try and let everyone test them out for me.
I have noticed a wave of mini cupcakes, cakes, and single serving desserts in shot glasses. I have been really anxious to make dessert shooters and now I was given this opportunity to cook my heart out!
I decided to do two kinds of shooters, Tiramisu and Very Berry Shortcake. I found some recipes online for Tiramisu and used this recipe for Italian pastry cream for the Very Berry Shortcake.
I prepared the Italian pastry cream the night before and I also soaked the organic frozen berries in rum. Needless to say, they were very happy berries. ;o)
I put all those creams in ziplock bags and piped them into little shot glasses I bought from Amazon.
Here is how they turned out:
I am really proud of them and I am really glad that all my friends enjoyed them because otherwise I would have had an earful of complaints!
