We sat in the Lounge area which is located in front of the bar near the front of the restaurant. Our server Claudia greeted us quickly and informed us that the manager had offered a sample menu for us to try. Claudia suggested we have the tropical fruit infused martinis, I chose the cantaloupe. Our drinks arrived quickly, shaken and poured table side, into a healthy-sized martini glass. The Cantaloupe Martini was very flavorful and strong! Pearleen, being the light weight, took one sip and felt a little bit on the “Happy” side. We also tried a Hawaiian Cosmo and a Passion Fruit Martini. Out of the three, we prefer the Cantaloupe Martini. –Taste like Cantaloupe!

Not too long after our order arrived. The MoonFish staff are very quick on expediting our orders. We got to try their Five Spice Calamari, Tuna Tar-Tar Tacos, Thai Red Curry Mussels and sample platter of Wood Fire Oysters. In addition, we took advantage of Moonfish’s 1/2 price Sushi Special and ordered: Rising Sun, Double Tuna Roll, Volcano Roll, and The Crunch Roll. Their sushi is decent. Their rolls are heavy in the cream cheese. It is not the greatest or the best but not bad either. But we are not grading this place for having sushi but for having really good Happy Hour deals!
Out of all the items we tried, our top picks were the Tuna Tacos, the Thai Red Curry Mussels, the Crunch Roll and the Five Spice Calamari.

I love tuna tartar. This looks like a really delicious way to serve it!
I am a huge fan of Tuna Tar Tar and I love crunchy tacos. MoonFish did a really great job with this dish! mmmm I want some right now!
Mmmmm, cantaloupe! I like that the Tuna Tar-Tar Tacos are crunchy — I get tired of the soft tortillas with fish. And Thai Red Curry Mussels sounds spectacular!!! Can’t wait to give this stuff a try. Thanks for the great review!
Thank you for reading and checking out our post. I really enjoyed the tacos. The shell is fried wonton! Pretty tasty and isn’t oily either. The mussels were really tender… we pretty much punished the entire bowl of mussels!
Tuna Tar-Tar Taco… Sounds delicious.. gotto try!!
haha! Patty I realize that you would consume raw fish!
