Redlight Redlight’s Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest at Redlight Redlight. They were providing Schneider Edel Weisse from a wooden barrel. I heard the beer was tasty. The flavor of the beer tasted much better than the bottled version of Schneider Edel Weisse. Like wine, the beer stored in wooden barrels will come out tasting more complex and takes on some of the characteristics of the wood. Redlight decided to pair the beer, Schneider Edel Weisse, with a plate of German food featuring:

Smoked bratwurst, apple brined roast pork with mustard jus, applekraut, bacon brussel sprouts, and German potato salad.

This plate was provided by a former chef, Aaron Christian, from Blue Zoo. The food was absolutely delicious. All I can say is… that… the pork was just off the meat rack!

Good job Aaron, if you end up opening a restaurant, I would most likely like it and become a huge fan!
