Cafe 118 Degrees
Café 118 is a raw organics restaurant.
They came highly recommended to us and we decided to try it.
At a first glance, Café 118 looks like a contemporary place, but as you take a closer look you notice that their dining room provides a very calming atmosphere with large glass windows overlooking a small garden outside.
Café 118 only serves non-animal products. Their menu is composed of items such as Chile Rellenos, Lasagna and Pad Thai, but made entirely of non-animal products.
Café 118′s name reflects the way they cook their dishes.
The heat the food up to 118 degrees to preserve its vitamins, minerals and natural enzymes which help to promote a healthy living.
I started by ordering a Beets, Orange and Carrot juice which was very enjoyable. I was expecting it to be on the not-so-sweet side, but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The flavor was similar to a Carrot and Orange juice, except that you could taste a mild flavor of Beets and it had a black-pepper like after taste.
For my meal I chose the Chile Rellenos. It was composed of a Chile cut in half, stuffed with Manta-Raw Jack cheese (a “cheese” sauce made from nuts), bell pepper sauce and mole (a cacao based sauce).
What an interesting dish! Looks were deceiving with this dish, or maybe it was because I did not expect those flavors from a vegetarian dish, it tasted very fresh and it was very crisp in texture. You would not guess the cheese was made from nuts.
After a delightful and completely surprising entrée, I decided to try desert and see how creative one can be making deserts from raw organics and no artificial sweeteners.
I chose the Smores, since it is something that most people have tried at least once.
The Smores were very good. The “gram cracker” was made from dehydrated coconut meat and the “marshmallow” was made from young Thai coconut meat with marshmallow extract, both topped with a chocolate sauce.
Amazingly enough it tasted just like smores, the only difference was the texture of the gram cracker was a chewier and not crunchy.
Overall this was a very interesting place. Being my first time trying a raw organic restaurant, I enjoyed it very much.

This is a good review! You really should have more reviews by that Todd guy though, man he is really impressively amazing. I mean geez. Seriously. You should send him some business cards too.
I totally agree, “Not Todd.” I think that PeeDo will get those to you as soon as they come in from the press. Thanks for the comment, “Not Todd.”
