This is one of my favorite places to go. Sometimes, you are just not in the mood for the whole “Downtown scene” so what better place to be out and be with your friends then here, Tatame.
Maggie Lee, owner of this unique establishment, has created a place that is friendly to all types of people, as long as you are 21 and up. This establishment is inspiring to all types all the the time. The art displays are always revolving featuring local artists. Tatame either has live music or has a DJ turning up a storm.
I enjoy coming to Tatame to have their Sake Snow, which is like a slushy with a couple shots of sake….It is awesome!
(I drank about half of it and then decided to take a picture of it…)
I love their sake snow! My favorite flavors are sour apple, lychee, mango, and honeydew.
Sometimes, for Ladies Nights on Friday night, I would get their 2-4-1 sake and I would order the infused sake. Those are really awesome. My favorite flavors are asian pear, passion fruit, and lychee. My fiance’ likes the unfiltered stuff, like the Pearl, or he likes to order something from their beer menu, like Sapporo or the Ginger Hitachino.
My brother, on the other hand, doesn’t like to drink so he comes and hangs out with us and orders tea.
The ambiance is relaxing and chill. Those days where you tell your friends you need to go out just to be out…this is the place! I enjoy sitting on their comfy couch and listening to music and admiring the inspiring art work that is being displayed on the walls.
This is the place!
This is the place where you can take your friends to talk and enjoy each others company.
This is the place that you can take your date out for something different from the same ‘ol downtown scene.
This is the place where you can sit on actual tatame mats and sipping on your hot tea… this is the place.
This is also the place where you can witness guys forgetting to turn on the privacy light in the bathroom…and laugh about it in the end.
