It has been a long week and it is time to make plans and go out!
You got some friends who have invited you downtown for some drinks but you are thinking that you are going to head down there early to grab a bite before getting sloshed with your friends. —Ok, maybe not too sloshed…
You are dressed all nice and you want something fast and inexpensive. You are tired of fried foods and sandwiches.
So what do you do?
Here is a great place in the Downtown Orlando area, Bento Café, located right on Orange Avenue in the Solaire building.
Our friend, Scott, absolutely loves Bento Café and he swears by it. He loves the fact that he can order a bottle of Vitamin water with his meal. I don’t know of many places that serve Vitamin Water on their beverage menu.
This place is cool though. It is so clean, so chic…. so modern…. and not expensive at all. What great value for the food, service, and for a great atmosphere.
What makes this place so unique is that they serve your meal in a bento box, rice bowl, or noodle bowl. One thing I noticed on their menu was that they offer a Sashmi Bowl. This is a great concept. It is under 10 bucks and it is really filling and did I mention that it is really
MEGA YUMMO!
A Sashmi Bowl at Bento Café has “an assortment of fresh Sashmi on a bed of rice with masago, slices of cucumber, and roasted sesame seeds, topped with wakame (seaweed) salad.” I totally love that idea!
I ordered their “Spicy Tuna Sashmi Bowl” while my fiancé ordered their “Chirashi Bowl.”
The “Spicy Tuna Sashmi” is described in their menu as, “Our most popular Sashmi bowl consisting of spicy mayo drizzled over chunks of tuna, topped with avocado.”
The “Chirashi Bowl” is described in their menu as, “A large variety of fresh Sashmi over rice.”
I love this Sashimi Bowl! It is so MeGa YuMmO and it is so filling
This has made it on one of my favorite places to dine. But they are opening another store on Sand Lake Road. A matter a fact…
