Located across the street from UCF, Underground Bluz is a popular bar for the local crowd.
I found out about this place several years back when I was a student at UCF. Back then, there weren’t many, if any, places serving beers other than what you see at any franchise bar or restaurant.
Underground Bluz was one of the very few places serving good beer.
Since then they have broadened their selection and have many more beers on tap in comparison to back then.
Their sign advertises that they have 120+ different types of beers, which I don’t doubt one bit. Their selection is extensive, including many of the seasonal brews.
There are live bands playing almost every night at this place.
While there, I had the Weyerbacher Quad, which is a Belgium style Quadrupel. The Quad was a delicious beer. It pours a bright amber color with little head, tastes sweet, fruity with a hint of caramel. The Quad is a very unique beer, highly recommended for those who like Belgium style beers.
Underground Bluz is a great place to hang out, listen to live music and enjoy great beer with friends; it has a laid back atmosphere and, unlike RedLight RedLight, still allows smoking inside.
The bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly.
