The Wine Room on Park Avenue, in Winter Park, Florida, has a very unique business that merges the concept of a wine bar and a wine shop together.

The concept is simple and brilliant, they group all the wine types together and place them throughout the whole establishment. It is almost like going to a wine tasting… except you get to pick and discover wines at your own pace.
So what do you do at The Wine Room?
Well first, you walk in and the receptionist will greet you and ask if you have a Wine Room Card. The card is like a refillable gift card where you have to place money onto the card and then use the card to buy the wine by the ounce from the very spiffy wine dispenser. They will tax you on the amount you place on the card.
They give you a wine glass and then SHAZAM! You are now ready and equipped to go on your wine tasting adventure!

So now you come up to a station, like the one seen in the picture, and they have descriptions and ratings on every single wine they have out in the dispenser.

So essentially, you can try out the MOST expensive wine or try the rarest wine without burning a hole in your pocket.

How To Dispense the Wine: Insert the Wine Card and the machine will read and the LCD will reveal the balance of the card. Each wine are priced differently, so be careful picking the wine and the amount. I think you can buy, 1 oz., 2.5 oz., and 5 oz. at a time and if you like it! Well, you can buy the bottle. It is a great experience to endure with your date, a close group of friends, or family from out of town.
It tends to get really crowded so sitting is very, very limited!

What was a surprise to me was that they now serve food…Now I am not referring to their great selection of meats, cheese, and fruits. I am talking about having an actual menu!
