While in Tampa this past weekend I went to the Oldsmar Tap House.
The Oldsmar Tap House is a great place to go if you are a beer lover. Their beer selection is extensive, both on tap and bottles.
Lack of choice is never a problem at this place.
One of the things you notice when you first walk in is the large chalk board displaying the name/ABV/ price of each of their beers on tap.
The cooler displays a colorful selection of bottle beers, which is where you will find some of the more rare selections.
And to go along with their beers, their menu offers a variety of cheeses and sausage platters.
Whenever visiting a place like this, with a large variety of anything, I like to always try something new.
On this occasion my beer of choice was the Avery Maharaja Imperial India Pale Ale. I had heard a lot of good things about this beer. It has received a consistent high rating by beer reviewers.
Being that I am a big fan of IPAs, I have to say, this beer was excellent.Very hoppy and sweet with a hint of orange without the strong taste of alcohol usually found in the higher abv IPAs.
This beer paired well with the Gruyere and Blue Cheese platter.
I highly recommend the Avery Maharaja.
Overall this is a great place to go with friends and try something new.
